Ok, so let's say you just bought one of the thousands of Forex Robot EAs that are on the market (mostly hype), you might find one or two that makes excellent market entries but doesn't exit when you want due to its built in risk formula....things seem to look good, you have some open trades and some are positive, some are negative....it's 11pm, time for bed.
You wake up the next morning only to find all your trades are CLOSED because you experienced a MARGIN CALL...in Forex this is NOT a polite phone call from your broker. It's a closeout of all open orders when there are too many open or too many going south so as you eat up your margin to keep these trades open, one of them pushes your margin to the limit by going too negative, or your robot opens ONE TOO MANY trades and you get margined out even though these could have been good winning trades.
